Tale as old as time

So this week sees the remake of one of my favourite Disney films ever, Beauty and the Beast. I have watched it countless times and cannot wait to see it on the big screen! Not being one to miss out on a chance to incorporate Disney into my work, I decided to take inspiration from the film and put together a Beauty and the Beast themed tablespace.

While I was at it, I thought I would really get into the enchanted princess world and show you fun ways we can all include a bit of Disney magic in our big day. Here are my top five touches from the House of Mouse.

1) Beauty and the Beast theme

These are classic Disney-inspired table centre pieces. I placed my bell jar on a stack of vintage books, a nod to Belles love of reading, surrounding it with gold candlesticks and a small gold clock… plus the smallest tea set I own which is just too cute to leave out!

You can see the full photoshoot gallery here :)

2) Disney quotes

We all have our favourite Disney film and we all have our favourite Disney quotes, this can be a clever and personal way to add a Disney sparkle to your day. Pick your favourite quote and how you want to share it. Then dot them around your venue!

3) Disney table names

I love this idea! Name your tables after famous Disney couples. Such a fun way to include a nod to Disney - there are so many to pick from. Woody and Jessy, Cinderella and Prince Charming, Tarzan and Jane, Mickey and Minnie, Lady and the Tramp…. I could go on!

4) UP

Okay, so this film melted everyone’s hearts and quickly took over the wedding world. This idea is really cute and a little more inventive as not everyone will recognise this as a Disney film straight away. If you don’t like the idea of money pots, leave small scrolls for guests to write on and they can leave you a message in the bottle instead!

5) Alice in Wonderland

This beautifully bonkers theme can be used on so much more other than just weddings. You see it feature in hen dos, baby showers, bridal showers, tea parties and more. It’s such a fun and quirky theme. I love using it for food and drink stations – there are tons of DIY printables available in this style as well, so it can be very cheap and easy way to bring some of that Disney creativity into your event.

Hope you enjoyed this blog post - have a magical day!

Lots of Love
