Stylish signage for your wedding day

So I am currently working really hard on my Calligraphy skills as I have a upcoming wedding where I will be hand making the place settings, table names, table plans and signage around the wedding. So of course I've been looking at lots of ideas and inspiration and there are some really fun ways to get calligraphy and signs into your day.

Its hard to find a wedding where there isn't a beautiful quote on a blackboard or a rustic directional signpost so here's my top ideas of how you can include them, whether you go DIY or hire your planner to hand make the signs this is a sure way to add a personal touch.

1) Stand out table plan

Let your table plan do all the talking by making it stand out with stunning calligraphy, you can use anything to make this work - chalkboards are great so are mirrors and clear glass. Team this up with some lighting and flowers like this picture here and your officially #tableplangoals

2) Rustic sign posts

This type of signage is really cute but also very practical! If you are using a venue thats a little difficult to find, help your guests out with putting some signage out the front. These also work really well within the venue to tell people where to park, drinks, ceremony, party.... the list goes on. These make for a great DIY all you really need is some left over wood, white paint and nails!

3) Signs for your flower girl/page boy

Now this is cute! Instead of the traditional flowers or basket why not get your little helpers to hold these signs instead. You can be very cheeky with these signs and show your funny side by changing the message to read 'Last chance to run' - but only if your feeling brave!

4) Stationary

Your stationary is a great place to start to introduce Calligraphy into your wedding, etsy is a great place to go to for some printable invites and templates. I will be hand writing out all of the guests names onto luggage tags for an up coming wedding which will be a nice personalised touch. Remember, if you are planning on doing this yourself make sure you allow plenty of time or ask your wedding planner to take care of this for you - it takes a lot of patience and not a task to be left till the last minute.

5) Any surface goes

These look amazing and would be perfect for a beach theme wedding! With Calligraphy you really can use any surface, glass, stones, leaves anything - you just need to pick the right pen. Picking an item and then using that for your place settings is really cheap, different and fun! Just make sure you have some spares so you can try out the surface first!

Lots of love
